In collaboration with EKC Group, a family of six community-based colleges across East Kent, we give centre-stage to apprentice welder Edward Clare and find out what made him want to become an apprentice and what he is learning at one of Kent’s leading manufacturing and engineering firms.
We then speak with long-serving line manager Derek Williams who shares his views on the importance of apprenticeships and nurturing young British talent into the production and skilled-manual work market.
