The team at our County Engineering business is hoping to find a loving new home for their original County Ford Transit 4×4 van.
The vehicle is an unregistered VE83 Ford Transit County built 4X4 van and this particular model will surely wow enthusiasts with its medium roof, standard height (+25mm) suspension and long wheelbase.
These vehicles are mainly used by the emergency services and this particular model has four-wheel-drive with both high and low range and disconnect.
The van was only driven for 174 miles before it was resigned to storage.
County and Ford’s relationship dates back to 1929 when County converted Ford trucks into 6-wheelers and our company continues its association with Ford today, as a transmission designer and producer.
The County team is hopeful this van may even appear in future episodes of Bangers and Cash, available on Freeview, and, once restored, could fetch a healthy price at auction to help fund new research and development on future driveline solutions.
